About Me

Dave Rabon is a seasoned sales professional and former Business Unit Executive with IBM. His responsibilities included leading a team of Sales Executives accountable for the business relationship with several large manufacturing and distribution clients, positioning his team as trusted advisors at all levels of the client’s enterprise. The key measures of success were value delivered to the client, overall client satisfaction, market share, profit and revenue against a $150 M+ objective. This required leveraging manufacturing industry knowledge and experience working with the industrial sector to understand client’s product, operations, and organizational structure.   

In his twenty-year corporate career, Dave has served in a variety of technical, marketing, consultative and management positions developing consultative marketing and business management skills and experience. Working with large international clients like Siemens and Lucent, he has led initiatives which have encompassed business process reengineering, I/T Strategy development, Strategic Outsourcing, and e-Business development. Managing multiple business units he has consistently exceeded objectives for client satisfaction, revenue, expense and profitability.

Later in his career as a sales professional, Dave leveraged his engineering background and construction coursework to start a small construction company. Through this experience, he developed significant knowledge of construction practices, estimating, general contracting and construction management.

Recently, Dave was the VP of Project Development for a small commercial construction company. His responsibilities included marketing, estimating, bidding, contract negotiations and project management for multi-million dollar commercial projects. Dave managed or helped manage several large commercial projects. By establishing and maintaining strong professional working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers, each project was completed on time and within budget.

Presently, Dave is a member of a team of over 30 agents at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Properties Group offering clients the best of both worlds: the expertise of a Tampa Bay Area company locally owned and operated for over 50 years. Dave attended the University of Kansas on an engineering scholarship and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has completed a Consultative Marketing professional certification curriculum, which included coursework at Harvard University. He has completed multiple classes and seminars through the National Association of Homebuilders. He has also completed the coursework and state testing to earn a Florida Real Estate License and is a member of the Florida Gulfcoast Commercial Association of Realtors.

Dave resides in the Tampa Bay area and has been married to his wife Deiah for ten years. They have three daughters, Ashley, Riley and Ryan.
