Our commercial division has grown to become a leader in the real estate industry. Dewey Mitchell and Allen Crumbley are business partners and long-time friends. It’s safe to say they know a thing or two about how to GROW together.
They each played football under Coach Bear Bryant at the University of Alabama where they won a National Championship in 1978 and gained valuable experiences that have made them who they are today. Their passion for real estate and this company sets them apart from most “business owners”. This isn’t just a business to them, it’s their family.
Allen Crumbley
Allen Crumbley, co-owner of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Properties Group, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to our team. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and Business Administration/Marketing from the University of Alabama, Allen’s leadership has been instrumental in shaping the commercial real estate landscape of the Tampa Bay area. A Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), Allen has been a key commercial real estate broker in the marketing of commercial, industrial, and mixed-use properties since 1984.
Allen’s contributions extend beyond real estate. He has played pivotal roles in community initiatives such as the Pasco Education Foundation’s “Take Stock in Children” campaign and the establishment of the James P. Gills West Pasco Family YMCA. Allen’s commitment to excellence is reflected in his active participation in various organizations, including the CEO Council of Tampa Bay and Gulfside Hospice and Pasco Palliative Care.

Dewey Mitchell
Dewey Mitchell, co-owner of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Properties Group, shares a similar passion for real estate and community service. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce/Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Alabama, Dewey has been a driving force as a leading commercial real estate broker. His leadership is also recognized through his prestigious CCIM designation and active involvement in organizations like the BayCare Health Systems Board of Trustees and St. Leo University.
Dewey’s dedication to community service is evident through his past roles, including Chair of the Tampa Bay Partnership and the West Pasco Family YMCA Capital Campaign Committee. Locally owned and operated since 1959, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Properties Group’s Commercial Division began as a single-office operation under the auspices of Tropical Realty. In 1988, owners Dewey Mitchell and Allen Crumbley joined the Prudential Real Estate network and formed Prudential Tropical Realty and Prudential Commercial Real Estate FL. In 2014 they joined Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices.
